Coverage for medical care and evacuation for medical/political/natural disasters is available through GeoBlue for faculty/staff business travelers and in-bound international students.

Coverage must be requested at least two weeks in advance of travel using the online Business Travel Insurance Application. Once we process your application, we will email your travel insurance card.

In-bound International Student Insurance
The department hosting the international student(s) must request the coverage at least two weeks before student arrival. Once IRM receives the coverage request, you will receive a spreadsheet and pre-authorization form by email. Complete the documents and return to IRM by email. Please DO NOT cut and paste to this spreadsheet. If you copy and paste the information, it changes the formula and GEO BLUE system will reject your request. Once processed, insurance cards will be sent to the requester by email.
If your travel plans change,
Contact IRM by email and we will determine if a refund of your premium is possible. As long as the trip start date has not yet passed, we can submit a cancellation request. GeoBlue will issue a refund payment to the University in the form of a check. IRM deposits the check into the project and account where it was charged. Please allow 4-6 weeks for the refund to process into your project.
